Ryan believes that all humans on our plant are connected by three common threads: 1. The love of our children/family 2. The fun we have pursuing our interests, relationships, and achievements 3. The food we enjoy.
While growing up in the Bay Area, Ryan aspired to be a technology company CEO, but has since found a passion for bringing a modern, culinary, and relevant approach to the fresh prepared foods industry. Ryan enjoys how the love of food pulls people together across cultures, geographies, and demographics. Ryan is the President of Valley Fine Foods, a family business on a mission to produce wholesome, gourmet food products under their Three Bridges and Pasta Prima brands. The delightfully easy to prepare fresh meals, pastas, and sauces surprise the palette and delight the soul. Ryan’s second food company, TableRunner, aims to disrupt how we experience and plan for the hundreds of billions of meal time occasions each year by delivering a customized menu of chef-prepared, seasonally fresh meals directly to consumers.
Ryan also loves all stories which showcase the strength of the human spirit. Whether it be sacrifice, dedication, hard work, or teamwork, these countless examples remind us of what is possible is much greater than what we typically aspire to.
Prior to his career in food industry, Ryan worked at Summit Partners, a private equity firm. Ryan is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Ryan also has a Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering from Stanford University. While not running his companies, Ryan loves to cook, travel around the world, meet real people, and be inspired by music.
